Compassionate Dentist in Waco
Get to Know Melissa Perschke, DMD

Dr. Perschke grew up just outside of Wichita, KS, but has proudly called Waco home for the past several years. She knew she wanted to be a dentist since she was 13. Missing her two lateral incisors (front teeth), this created large gaps as well as speech issues. But once her teeth were fixed with braces, she was so much more confident! It transformed the rest of her life and inspired her to help facilitate the same changes for others.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Perschke earned her Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences from Kansas State University before completing her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
Dr. Perschke is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centered care and enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, including tooth extractions, root canals, dental implants, and Invisalign. With more than 300 hours of continuing education and counting, she is currently pursuing her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and frequently takes courses through Spear Education.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

When she isn’t helping people with their smiles, Dr. Perschke and her husband, Jacob, stay busy with their three young children: Lily and twin boys Cooper and Brooks. When she finds a little free time, she enjoys golfing and needlepointing. Fun fact: Dr. Perschke grew up rodeoing and won the Kansas state championship for goat tying in high school!
